Sinan Çankaya
Sinan Çankaya (1982, Nijmegen) is a cultural anthropologist and writer. He obtained his PhD for research into diversity within the police organization (Safer outside than inside, 2011), after which he conducted further research into ethnic profiling.
Çankaya currently works as an assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In 2021 he won the Jan Hanlo Prize, the E. du Perron Prize and the ‘Sociological Glasses’ Award for My Countless Identities.
