Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer
Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer (1968) is an award-winning Dutch writer whose work was published in many countries. He writes novels, stories, poems, columns, essays, theatre plays, screenplays and lyrics and his works has been translated in English, German and Italian among others. Since 2009, he lives and works in Genoa, Italy.
In 2014 he won the prestigious Dutch Libris Literature Prize for his bestseller La Superba. His collection of poetry Idyllen won the Jan Campert-prize, the VSB Poetry prize and the Awater critics prize in 2016 - the first time ever a poet won this 'Grand Slam’.
